Hi, I'm Sakshi!
Designing where research, strategy, and empathy meet.
I'm fascinated by how good products can quietly shape the way we live, the kind of design that feels obvious once you see it, but only because someone put in the work to make it simple. That's what drew me into product design: the chance to take messy, complex problems and turn them into something people actually enjoy using.
What grounds my work is the conviction that the best decisions come from listening hard, to users, to data, and to people across the table with very different priorities. I'm at my best in cross-functional teams where empathy and analytical rigor pull in the same direction.
Part of the core organizing team for a Figma-backed design community of 3,000+ members, leading events and workshops to foster creativity, knowledge-sharing, and networking. Contributed to scaling community engagement and growing the chapter's reach across diverse design professionals.
Working closely with the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science's administrators and the Dean's Office to plan and facilitate events for McCormick graduate students, including circles within tenure-track faculty and alumni connections through formal and informal networking events.
Volunteer teaching staff for underprivileged children in India's slums. Learning alongside them was one of the most rewarding things I've done.
I keep a running list of cafés worth coming back to in every city I've lived in.
Two 10Ks down. A half-marathon next on the list.
I'm always game for a new experience, the unfamiliar ones especially.
I make desserts especially for the people I love.
